AWOW Technique Challenge - Aquarelle !

Bienvenue à ce dernier saut 2023 de l'Equipe Around the World on Wednesday !

Pour terminer l'année, c'est un challenge technique qu'Angie nous a proposé avec une carte Watercolor !

Bon comme d'habitude, je pense que j'ai fait un peu de hors piste parce que j'ai complètement oublié la partie smooshing...

Donc bon, hein... j'espère que vous me pardonnez ! En tout cas, voici ma création !

To end the year, Angie gave us a technical challenge with a Watercolor card!

Well, as usual, I think I went a bit off track because I completely forgot about the smooshing part...

So anyway... I hope you'll forgive me! Anyway, here's my creation!

Je suis encore en pleine séance de cartes de vœux - et croyez moi, j'ai reçu hier mes jouets du catalogue printemps alors c'est vraiment quelque chose de difficile - mais j'ai encore quelques cartes à créer pour envoyer avec mes colis de biscuits de Noël - qui eux aussi, ne sont pas encore terminés -

Bref, on est en Décembre, vous savez ce que sait, on est tous toujours en retard. Donc voici une carte sobre et facile à réaliser même si vous débutez dans le travail à l'aquarelle.

I'm still in the middle of a greetings card session - and believe me, I received my toys from the spring catalogue yesterday, so it's a really difficult thing to do - but I've still got a few cards to create to send out with my Christmas biscuit parcels - which aren't finished yet either - so I'm going to send them out.

Anyway, it's December, you know what, we're all always late. So here's a sober card that's easy to make, even if you're new to watercolours.

1. Commencez par couper un fond de 9,5 x 13,8 cm dans du papier aquarelle Fluide 100

. Tamponnez à la versamark la scène d'arbres du set Forever Forest et embossez en blanc. Sur les côtés, tamponnez le Sapin solitaire et embossez en blanc aussi.

2. Ensuite, prenez l'avant dernier rectangle des Fantaisies surpiquées et posez le sur votre fond. Passez le dans la machine, puis mouillez votre fond aux trois-quarts.

3. Prenez trois encres : Bleu Nuit, Scène Stellaire et Tahiti en mer. Commencez par la teinte la plus foncée, juste en partie basse. L'encre va fuser, n'hésitez pas à foncer en revenant plusieurs fois. Changez de teinte en passant à Scène Stellaire, montez jusqu'à la cime des sapins, puis prenez Tahiti en mer. L'idée est vraiment d'étirer l'encre sur le papier pour que les couleurs se fondent bien entre elles.

4. Laisser sécher. Pendant ce temps, découpez un morceau de papier Vélin de 9,8 x 14,1 cm. Sur une chute de Papier Blanc Simple, tamponnez à Scène Stellaire le vœu de votre choix (Ici Moments Lumineux du catalogue Annuel). Coupez pour obtenir un simple rectangle, et ajoutez deux petits morceaux de papier Scène stellaire un peu plus petits autour pour faire ressortir le texte.

5. Enfin, coller votre fond aquarellé sur le papier Vélin, et le tout en 3D sur un fond de carte Blanc Simple (10,5 x 29,7 cm plié en deux). Ajoutez quelques gemmes à facettes - mes chéries du Catalogue Printemps 2023 - et c'est terminé !

1. Start by cutting a 9.5 x 13.8 cm background from Fluid 100 paper. Stamp the tree scene with versamark and emboss in white. On the sides, stamp the Lone Fir and emboss in white too.

2. Next, take the penultimate rectangle of the Stitched Fancies and place it on your background. Run it through the machine, then wet your base three quarters of the way.

3. Take three inks: Night of Navy, Starry Sky and tahiti Tide. Start with the darkest shade, just at the bottom. The ink will fuse, so don't hesitate to go darker and come back several times. Change the colour to Stellar Scene, climb to the top of the fir trees, then take Tahiti at Sea. The idea is really to stretch the ink on the paper so that the colours blend well together.

4. Leave to dry. Meanwhile, cut a piece of Vellum paper measuring 9.8 x 14.1 cm. On a scrap of White Paper, stamp in Scène Stellaire the wish of your choice (Here Luminous Moments from the Annual catalogue). Cut to make a simple rectangle, and add two smaller pieces of Star Scene paper around it to make the text stand out.

5. Finally, glue your watercolour background onto the Vellum paper, and all in 3D onto a Simple White card base (10.5 x 29.7 cm folded in half). Add a few faceted gems - my darlings from the Spring 2023 Catalogue - and you're done!

Voilà… Je ne sais pas si cela correspond à ce qu'Angie attendait, mais en tout cas, c'est une jolie carte facile à réaliser. A l'origine, j'avais prévu de faire une seconde version plus élaborée mais… hé bien disons que j'ai été pas mal dérangée et finalement, il n'y a que celle-ci. Peut être dans les prochains jours.

Well... I don't know if it's what Angie wanted, but it's a lovely card that's easy to make. Originally, I'd planned to make a second, more elaborate version but... well, let's just say I've been quite disturbed and in the end there's just this one. Maybe in the next few days.
